Hi all,

I've ust built my new system .. Using a Gigabyte
motherboard .. All worked on my CD Writer and the O/S
loaded fine .. I then loaded a gigabyte sytsem CD which
was supposed to load the latest updates etc ..

And now I can't see the CD writer at all ( LG Writer ).

I believe that I need to restore the microsoft Driver that
runs the CD Writer ( IDE ) .. As the Gigabyte System CD
has a bug ..

Is this correct and if so how do I find the Driver etc .

The CD Works fine in firmware level , just disappears in
the XP Operating System.

Try System Restore. Start>All Programs>Accessories>SystemTools>System
Restore.
