My sound card (PCI) is not being recognized. Creative
Labs told me to unplug the PCI card and start the
computer, turn it off and re-plug the card.
Is there an easier way, so I don't have to get into the
case of the computer. Can XP Professional force the
installation of the card? HOW?
Thanks,
Tom

If you have a problem and someone (who should know) tells you what to
do to (hopefully) fix it, it probably behoves you to do what he/she
suggests! He/she presumably suspects a problem at the P&P BIOS level,
which cannot be fixed by the OS from "above".
