PROBLEM WITH ACTIVESYNC 3.7.1 and COMPAQ 3870

Hi

I use a Compaq 3870 PDA on my Dell lattitude 600 XP laptop which syncs perfectly well using the latest Activesync 3.7.1 however after usually a week's use the message

"Application 0xc0000142 failed to initialise properly"

I then have to manually remove Activesync from the program list and then re-install Activesync from the MSN website which is a real pain every week, especially as I use my Compaq as my work diary!!

Any ideas??

You should be addressing this to one of the pocketpc groups:

Is your cradle connected to a USB hub as opposed to directly to port on the
PC. Sometimes, when cradles are connected to a hub as opposed to directly
to the PC, the connection is dropped.

If this is not the issue or it doesn't resolve the issue, please go to the
above link, check the list for pocketpc groups and try your question one of
the pocketpc boards.
