View Full Version : Getting rid of Earthlink

Some time ago I had suscribed to Earthlink, then I went
back to my local ISP, but I still get the earthlink logo
and the title bar reads (for this one as an
example) "Microsoft Newsgroups - Microsoft Internet
Explorer provided by EarthLink". How do I get rid of
EarthLink completely and totally? I know that this might
sound cheezy, but it is annoying to no end. I had a very
bad experiance with EarthLink and I will never use it
again, so I want this thing off my computer and I can't
seem to find a way to do it. any and all suggestions
(except going back to EarthLink) will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you.

See www.dougknox.com, Utility, Remove IE/OE Branding for a small utility
that will remove Earthlink's "branding",

Thank You Doug Knox! You provided the solution (without
laughing at me) and I am very grateful. Now I do not
have to look at that annoying EarthLink logo anymore!
