boot to the xp cd, press F5 when setup starts when you are
prompted to press F6 to install a scsi/raid driver. A HAL
listing will come up...choose the one you want...then
perform a repair install.
this is the ONLY way.

You can also do an inplace upgrade although you will lose any hot fixes or
service packs that were installed. E verything else should be ok.
1. Place Windows XP install disk in CD tray
2. Click Start -> Run
3. Assuming the CD is drive D: type the following into the Run dialog:
d:\i386\winnt32 /unattend
4. This will perform an install using all the data from the previous
installation. All your hardware will PnP and be correctly added giving you
your multiproc HAL.
