While working in any software application, PC will reboot
with no command given. When sending "error report" to MS,
I'm told it's a device on my PC. Huey!. nothing new
installed in over 6 months!

Hmm. Probably a temp issue. Check all fans? Also, room temp increased
lately? Any changes to environment surrounding the tower? (Carpet, books
against tower, stuff on top, anything that might impede air flow). Have you
cleaned the inside of the case lately? Maybe the grill/screen is dirty.

As good a place to start as any. After you've dealt with all of these
items, run a check of the disk(s) JIC.

START/RUN/"cmd" <enter>/"chkdsk c: /v/r" <enter>/Yes <enter>/Reboot.

Back to you.

This is a good suggestion -- Check your CPU Fan --
cleaning it out has gotten rid of this same problem for me.

Machine rebooting is usually bad hardware, try testing your memory.

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery section (bottom).
In the System Failure section click on the "automatically restart"
checkbox to clear it.

That will probably replace the reboots with a "Blue Screen Of Death"
STOP error message. However the contents of the STOP message will
provide some clues as to the underlying cause of the problem.

Post the complete information from the STOP message back here.

Good luck
