Add Hardware Icon

Hello:

When I click on the "Add Hardware" icon in the Control
Panel, I get a message that says "Cannot install two
devices at the same time".

I get this message, even when I'm not installing
anything. It tells me to wait until the wizard has
finished installing the hardware, but it never finishes,
because it isn't installing anything.

This is a new system, and I've contacted Proteva (the
manufacturer), and they still have yet to come up with an
answer.

Can anyone help?
