have you run a chkdsk on your system recently??? this can
be accomplished on the tools menu of your hdd. goto my
computer/local disk c: (right click)/ then click on the
tools tab and then click on the error checking status. If
you check the top box you are looking at about 5 mins for
the system to quickly check the disk. if you check both
boxes its about 45 mins to 1hr dependant on memory and
hdd size. This should fix your problem if you can get to
your desktop. If no desktop goto recovery console then at
the c: prompt type in chkdsk /p for the quick check, or
chkdsk /r for the longer check.
