When I get an email that has an excel document attached
do I have to buy the Excel program to read it?

Probably not. I would think that Corel and Lotus have compatable
spreadsheets. I may depend on the complexity of the data in the spreadsheet
cells. If you have another spreadsheet program, try changing the file
extention to the one your other program uses and see what happens.

Strictly unprofessional advise ... just so you know.

I should also note that if you do have one of the other spreadsheet programs
first check the File>Open...>File type option. It may have an option for
excel sheets.
