I am trying to update my data back up CD-RW by dragging and dropping files
from my C drive onto the cd. However, I am finding this slow and cumbersome
and seem to get a folder within a folder, instead of just updating the files
within a folder. I must be doing a lot wrong! Also, I do not know how to
back up my email messages...where are they? Can anyone offer me some
procedural direction and advice on how I can back up using the drag and drop
effectively. Thanks in advance. Fran

I use Polder Backup free at
http://www.xs4all.nl/~philippo/PolderBackup.htm
You can set up a list of files/folders to be backed up.
I find the easiest way to use it is to do a quick format on the CDRW
before each backup. May be necessary to set CD write speed low to
eliminate CDRW errors.

To see where you OE mail boxes are, in OE go Tools / Options /
Maintenance, then click on "Store folder" (don't change it).

Drag and drop is inherently slower because it uses a different file system
("DirectCD") on the CD, which may also make it unreadable on other systems.
Stick with SendTo: (CDRW)Drive instead...

Run ntbackup and backup all your data to a file, then copy only that file to
your CDR, if its too large for one CDR then you will need a third party
burning solution to span the drive.
