Hello there,
Some of my users preferred the use of MSN messenger instead of the built in
Windows Messenger. We have now deployed Windows Sharepoint Services and
really like the use of the integrated Windows Messenger for Team Sites. I
have since upgraded all of the PC users to use Windows Messenger 5.0 and
removed all instances of MSN Messenger.
On the machines that did not have IM configured, they are experiencing no
difficulties. The users that formally had MSN messenger are required to
actually open Windows Messenger and Log in--It does not do so automatically
upon sign in. I went under tools/options and made sure the appropriate
check boxes were selected but still no luck.
I'm sure it's been asked and answered, but how do i get Windows Messenger to
automatically sign in upon log in.
/Jeff
That being said, has an .MSI file been made available for Windows Messenger
5.0 yet? I never have been able to find an .MSI to deploy through GPO.
