Hello,

I updated the latest software for my mouse (5.0) and for
some reason it doesn't give me the same functionality as
the older software did. Specifically, I cannot specify
separate commands for each button for different programs
installed on my computer now. I used to be able to do
this. It only allows one set of commands rather than
linking the commands to several different programs. Am I
missing something here? I have WinXP.

Hi,

Unforutnately the new version of the software doesn't have those application
specific commands for each button.
This feature will be back soon in the next release.
If you want to use the buttons then you should uninstall the software and
install the older software to regain those functions.

If your mouse doesn't require Intellipoint 5.0 support (i.e. for tilt wheel
support), then you can use Intellipoint 4.12

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4348502a-61be-4072-abe2-e3fc3aa0eee6&DisplayLang=en

Despite the title of the page, Windows XP is a supported OS for this version
of Intellipoint.

MSFT knows about the missing functionality in Intellipoint 5.0. They are
working on putting that functionality back in a future release.
