I have just put a new 4 USB port PCI card in my Dell
running XP HOme. The Disk which came with it has the
Microsoft Windows logo on it, but "for legal reasons" you
have to get the driver via the microsoft web site. I
have uploaded every thing in sight on the automatic
update page, but the driver is still not installed (nor
can the system find it). How can I get this driver?

If this is a USB2.0 card, download and install SP1

As I said, I have uploaded everything possible on the
Windows XP update site. I know it says the drivers
should be in the SP1, but the wizard can't seem to find
them! (Even if I point it directly at the SP/i386
directory). "The hardware was not installed because the
wizard could not find the necessary software" is the
message every time.
