need help

I have a problem with my nvideagraphics card for tv/out
feature stopped working when I unplugged my computer
monitor...I reinstalled drivers checked setup and
everything seems to be in order...but no signal to
tv...tried according to nvidea faq to unplugg computer
and only connect tv/out and start my computer to se if
there was a signal..no signal but then again I could not
use computer monitor just turned off after rebooting so I
have reinstalled several times a fresh copy of my win
xp...in documents and settings it says that there is
about 7 different users different versions of my name..is
this as it should ..hmm did the reinstalling really take
away all previous settings...need to know before I
conclude that the card is faulty...and why should it
brake by me unplugging computer monitor I wasn=t even
using...please anyone have ideas
