Windows XP changed location ID of CD Rom & CD R/RW

When I loaded XP, my CD Drive changed from D to R. My CD
RW changed from E drive to S drive. How can I change them
back to D & E drives?

Assuming that you have administrator access, goto Control
Panel-->Administrative Tools-->Computer Management. Click on "Disk
Management." Click the drive you want to change, right click and go down to
"Change drive letter and paths." Click the drive letter then "change." Use
the drop-down list to choose the letter to change to followed by "OK" for
both windows. You may have to change another drive's letter first. ie:
Windows usually assigns a second partition/drive to 'D' drive.
