How can I tweak XP so that I can use xcopy to backup files
onto the CD-RW disc ?
When I run the command, I get "invalid drive".
I suspect it's something to do with the CD_RW wizard, where
you can drag and drop files using the GUI into a temp
folder then press 'write cd now' in the folder.
Thanks,S......

I think this could work if the CDR/W was formated for packet writing...
otherwise writing directly to a blank CD is probably not possible.
The XP GUI burning capability is based on a Roxio mastering model which in
brief means it creates an "image" file and burns that to the CD. Not the
same as packet CD authoring such as used with Direct CD or InCD.
