Hi,

I recently had my power supply replaced. Ever since then,
my computer automatically turns off own it's own, well
actually it goes into stand by. Once in stand by, it takes
many tries to get it back on. I can't just turn it off and
then back on. If I just unplug it, it just turns on in
stand by mode. I told Gateway (who sent the replacement),
and they continue to say that it's my system and not the
power supply. However I have never had this problem
before. Does anyone know what the problem can be? FYI, I
have already checked the power options, hibernate, and all
that good stuff. I put my setting for the system to never
turn off.

It sounds like a bad memory problem, if you have diferented dimms of memory
installed, take one out and try to boot, if that doesn't work try the other
one, until you can isolate the problem. Also try unpluging PCI devices one
at a time if you have any.

Good Luck.
