My Toshiba DVD-rom drive has recently decided to give me
attitude. (Compaq Presario 730US with 1.2gig AMD mobile
CPU.) It worked fine during its first several months, now
DVDs play very poorly. (It had been a while since I
played a DVD-many months.) The audio is very choppy and
also makes the images chop along with it. The video works
fine if I mute the speakers. My sound card seems OK too,
as it will play mpegs, and CDs with out any hassles.
Help! Ideas? I am runnig Windows XP Professional and
have kept current on updates and drivers.
