Start up programs list................

Where is the place located to set the Start Program list to collapse when
not used very often. I can't locate it

Its for classic start menu. Right click on Start and select Properties. On
the resulting window, click Start Menu tab. Click Customize... button (for
Classic Start Menu). In the Advanced Start menu Options, check 'Use
Personalized Menus' and click OK.
