Hi,
Recently I had to reformat my C drive and after reinstalling XP Pro and a
few other programs I noticed that the programs were going in to the ALL
Users Directory and not my Tom C Directory. Where did I go wrong and is
there any way to correct it? I am not so far that I can't reformat and start
over. Before I reformatted all the programs and setting went into my Tom C
directory tree.
Also I noticed there is no Local Settings folder in the My Document and
Setting folder. I was looking for the outlook.pst file after I installed
Office 2000 and couldn't find the file, even after doing a search.

You formatted your drive and therefore all files on the drive were deleted
including the outlook pst file, therefore you will not be able find them.
Could you explain more about how many drives and partitions you have. Also
what drive did you install windows on to / what drive is it booting from
???.

If you had a My Documents\Local settings folder, i would guess

I made a copy of my pst file and pasted it to my D drive. Then i
disconnected the D drive so i couldn't accidently format the wrong drive. I
formatted the C drive and loaded windows back on the C drive. I done a
search for the pst on the C drive after installing Office and didn't find
it.
However after i little more digging i found that the folder and file is
hidden, so after changing the setting to "show all files" i was able to find
everything i needed.
Thanks for the help...Tom C
