I have the above drive that shows up in device manager,
but does not show up computer management/disk management,
and thus no drive letter anymore (used to be defined as
H). The event log comes up with the following...
Date: 8/9/2003 Source: Disk
Time: 1:38:30 PM Category: None
Type: Error EventID: 7
User: N/A
Computer: computername
Description: The device,\Device\Harddisk2\D, has a bad
block
I suspect I need to reformat it, but since it does not
show up in disk managment, how do I reformat it or how
could I get around the bad block (would like to not have
to reload the data)?
