View Full Version : Bluetooth Intellimouse - cursor locks up when Palm m130 is docked

When I dock my Palm m130 PDA and perform a Hot-synch
operation (to synchronise with Outlook) the PC cursor
locks up. The Bluetooth transceiver and the PDA docking
station are both plugged into a USB port expander (four
USB devices sharing one USB port on the machine). Has
anybody else experienced this, and/or can anybody advise
me on a solution? Thanks.

Unfortunately the current MS Bluetooth drivers do not include the networking
ability that you would seem to require to complete the synchronisation with
Outlook.

According to the Guide to Bluetooth on Tom's Hardware site updated drivers
to include this function are in development but I don't know of a date for
their release.

Of particular interest to you is the section titled "Failures"
http://www6.tomshardware.com/consumer/20030328/bluetooth-12.html

There it states, in relation to the lack of a network ability, "This does
not necessarily mean that other Bluetooth PDAs, especially those running
Pocket PC, cannot be connected either, though it is probably the case."

Sorry I don't have better news
Pete
