I have vexing and very annoying problems that I've encountered these few
days with my abt 1yr old Sony Floppy Disk Drive 1.44MB. My O/S is using Win
XP Pro and AOpen AX-3SP mobo. Each time, I insert any new or copied files on
my diskettes, I would experienced this dialog prompting me this; " the disk
in drive A is not formatted. Do you wish to format it now? " Clicking the
"yes" and it will shows "This disk cannot be formatted" with either options
of "Quick format or the vice-versa" Alternative attempts with brand new and
already loaded diskettes that is usable with other system shows this same
results! Then, I used another workable, non-defective HP brand 1.44MB Floppy
Disk Drive and all the above mentioned is encountered again. Please can
someone kindly understands what is wrong or maybe, my mobo's default FDD
port is malfunctioned or my FDD's cable is gone??? FYI, this error is never
encountered before and my system is able to make full usage of this drive
without any hitch except recently. Thanks for the advise.
