IE6 upgrade

I have downloaded the IE6 upgrade for XP but it will not
install on my laptop. I am getting the following error:

The software you are installing has not passed Windows
Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.
This software will note be installed.

I downloaded the file directly from Microsoft so don't
see why I should be getting this error message.
Has anyone else come across it and rectified it?

One cannot download IE6 upgrades separately. The upgrade for IE6 is
installed when you download and install SP1 for Windows XP.

Windows XP Service Pack 1
http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/default=
..asp

Note: Select "Network Installation" (32-bit)

After installing SP1, visit the Windows Update web site for the latest
security patches.
