Previously whenever I used a plug and play USB Device
(ie, digital camera, flash memory drive, sony memory
stick adapter) Windows XP would give me to option to
choose and action to take such as using the Photo Wizard
to import images from my memory stick. Recently these
options are no longer avaialable. Windows simply opens
the device in an explorer window. I have attempted to
change the Autoplay properties under the device
properties while it is connected and they still do not
take effect. Although this is a minor inconvience and
for the most part I only used the Scanner and Camera
Wizard to import pictures from my camera or memory stick
reader, but it would be nice to have these features
working again.

I have the same problem with my IBM Microdrive. The autoplay settings are
set to prompt for action but it doesnt prompt. Also if you try to change
the settings, the changes are not retained. It defaults back to always
prompt.
This is a pain - always worked in win 2k.
