I went to the microsoft site for help and was told I could e-mail a question, but they gave no e-mail address!!! That is a good way to keep their work load down.

At another microsoft site they said I could have free advice but I had to give them the product #, which I have to do by opening the software--but the problem is I can't load it in the first place

I bought Powerpoint 2002 last year for my previous computer, a Dell laptop—although I had Powerpoint on it, the 2002 version is vastly better.
Now I purchased an HP Pavilion laptop with Windows XP Office , but I took the option of not including Powerpoint, since I already had purchased the software.
But when I try to load it, after I give all the information including the product key # , I get the message that “no appropriate” software can be found. I tried several times, and so did a friend, who knows computers pretty well, and always the same r
esults.

Thankyou,

Robert McM
