I have no idea where it went but I have a 40 GB Maxtor drive
partitioned into 6 GB on C: and 34 GB on D: . Well a few days ago it
locked up and I reset it only to find all of D: GONE. I have no idea
how to recover it and the "diskpart" utility does not see it either.
The only closest solution I have found is
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=316505 but to no avail.
I know I could delete both partitions and start over but I would like
to recover that D: partition.
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill,

Start/run diskmgmt.msc, click actions/rescan disks - does this see it?
