I'm having a major problem installing a ZIP 100 USB drive
on my machine, which is running Windows XP Home Edition
with Service Pack 1a. First, I install the software
Iomegaware 4.0.2, which is the latest version available
from Iomega. Then I shut down my PC, connect the drive,
and boot my PC. The new Hardware doesn't start like it
should.
Sorry about the typos.
Here is a reiteration of my problem:

I start the Add New Hardware Wizard to try to install the
hardware manually, but as soon as it starts to look for
the driver "USBSTOR.INF" I get the error "An error
occurred during the installation of the device. The data
is invalid." What's worse is that the USBSTOR.INF file
doesn't exist. I tried to install it from my Windows XP
Home Edition CD, but I still get the error.

The ZIP drive works and the software I downloaded for it
from Iomega.com is virus-free. I've tried everything that
Iomega Support suggested, but still no luck.

Any ideas as to what could be causing the problem?

AFAIK the standard procedure is to _not_ install any Iomega drivers... :-)
