I am using Windows XP SP1 with all windowsupdates.com patches
available.
After a system crash my Logitech mouse stopped to work. I tried to
re-install different versions of the driver (even the generic PS/2
driver) but everytime I get the same message after the drivers have
been copied:
"This driver is not suited for this platform" (translated from
German)
I am definitely using Windows XP drivers (installed Logitech
MouseWare, and the shipped Windows XP drivers) - but everytime i get
the same message. Sometimes I even managed to kill my keyboard driver
(repaired that from the boot menu ("last working configuration"))
PS/2 Port is enabled, Keyboard works. Mouse doesn't even work when
plugged into an USB port. In WindowsME on the same computer it works
like a charm.
What shall I do? Is the driver database corrupted?
thanks in advance
