I installed a PCI Voice Modem an HP system installed with
HP's version of WinXP. I worked fine, so I decided to
install the same model VModem on a backup computer I
have. It has a retail version of WinXP I installed on
it. However, when I attempt to install the new hardware,
which is PnP, WinXP cannot find it. I have drivers on
the CD, but they are .sys files and WinXP will not accept
them. There was no finding modem or device problems on
the HP system. Any ideas?
