Changing Motherboard

Hello All,
I need to change out my motherboard running XP-Pro.
It is now running on a ASRock P-4 2.4ghz motherboard now
and I need to go to a Intel P-4 2.4ghz motherboard(it's a
slot thing).
What do I need to do before and after I change this.
When I have tried this before, I have run into the BLUE
screen or it just keeps ReBooting over & over.
What did I do wrong?
