WPA Wireless Security Update destroys Suspend to RAM

After I installed the Wireless Security Update, my Sitecom PCI WLAN
card worked for the first time.

Then, I found out that the Suspend to RAM option refused to work
properly (ASUS P4PE Motherboard): As soon as I want to re-start my
computer, a blue screen appears after showing the (expected) latest
screen. After that, the computer needs to re-start three times (using
the Start Windows normally option) before it's up again.

Any hints on how to get rid of the issue?
