Right click on the start button and select Properties. Click the Customize
option. On the next screen go to the Advanced page and check the boxes to
add Search and Run command to the start menu.

You mean the 'Search' and 'Run' checkboxes are missing in the Advanced tab of StartMenu Properties? Apply the REG fixes attached herewith.
