Whats this (RPC) garbage and this termination in 60 seconds?

Help I'm losing my home based business.
I downloaded the windows XP updates finally sunday(BIG
MISTAKE) and now I get the death message "NT Authority,
(Rpc) termination in 60 seconds in an endless loop.
My ISP tells me its a microsoft problem, but I can't find
any info from them.
