Help:

After having had to run a non microsoft system restore as
the microsoft one had not worked, my other restore disk
has moved all my system files to an 'old files' folder
and created new c:\windows and other system files.

All non XP programmes are gone, and All old users are no
longer available to log onto, and I had to create a new
user to start. (although all old users files EXCEPT mine
are viewable thru explorer but mine are protected under
password etc on my log on.)

I have transferred my old user file back into the
Documents & Settings file BUT the system doesnt see it
and wont let me log into my old user as its not visible.

Using windows explorer it wont let me transfers these to
a disk or zip driver either saying access denied.

All I want to do is access my old files/documents &
pictures from this user profiles, then i can fully
restore the system once they are secure on a DVD backup.

Please can you help?

thanks you.
