View Full Version : Hey
Hi! I have recently gotten installed Windows XP and I am
confused. I have two user accounts on my system. How do I
transfer programs from one to the other?

Hi,
If you right-click the Start button and choose "properties" a view will
open of your computer in the "Documents and Settings" folder. You should
see a folder for each user name and one called "All Users"
Many applications install shortcuts to All Users\Start Menu\Programs. If
that happens every user on the system will see that program in his or her
Start Menu.
Some applications install shortcuts to the folder of whatever user actually
installed the program. If that the case you can open up that users \Start
Menu\Programs directory and cut & paste those shortcut entries to "All
Users" which will make it available to everyone.
You can do the same thing for desktop icons by pasting the shortcut into
\All Users\Desktop.

You select explore, not properties.
