am trying to determine if the Windows XP operating system
is causing the CD drive to fire up when leaving a disk in
the drive...have swapped the CD hardware and still have
the problem where drive starts to spin every 3-4 minutes
when CD is present in the drive.
does the operating system poll/signal the drive every 3-4
minutes, the same drive it polled/signalled 3-4 minutes
before? it's really annoying
