Should it be possible to make such a connection between a Win XP machine and
a laptop running Win98SE ??

I have used Laplink between the two for quite a while before upgrading my
desktop m/c to XP. My Dell Laptop will have problems with XP so I don't
intend to change the OS, it's very stable!

All answers and / or pointers to a 'how to' site will be much appreciated.

TIA

Yes, its possible, but if I recall correctly, Win98 required that NetBEUI
and TCP/IP be installed for DCC to work. To use NetBEUI on XP, you have to
install it manually.

Thank you. I have just printed this info and will install it. But can you
also point me at instructions on how to set it up and use it?
TIA!!
Having lurked around this group and others, I am amazed at the amount of
help that you provide to others.

Cheers.
