View Full Version : followup: random unwanted HDD activity is caused by OUTLOOK.EXE
It's Outlook 2003. I can exit the application, but no matter what I do, I
can't kill the process. And, in trying to do so, Internet Explorer becomes
unusable, and any IE instances I open up become unclosable - they are
recognized as unresponsive but they won't close, and I'm forced to
logout/reboot.

If I click on a link that's supposed to launch Internet Explorer in an
Outlook message, it locks up if I've currently stopped a VS.Net application
that I'm debugging. If I continue execution, than Internet Explorer pops up.
Perhaps my problems are coming from VS.Net and Outlook interacting. Does
Office 2003 utilize the DotNet Framework?
