Hi Jonathan or anyone else:

I recently purchased a BEFW11S4 and everything was working great, until I
decided to buy a webcam and use MSN messenger. :) I upgraded to 6.2, but I
was still having trouble initializing audio.

Anyway, I contacted Linksys, tried the port forwarding, port triggering and
even UpnP Forwaring - all of which did not work, save for the last one UpnP
Forwarding, but eventually after using the Webcam and audio like this, my
whole router would crash, and I would have to set up the my whole network
again.

Linksys says it's the router, but I'm sure it is not. I am currently plugged
into the router and surfing happily through these forums.

I read in one of your posts that any port forwarding of any kind is not
neccessary. Simply enabling UpnP under the Administration tab and rebooting
will suffice.

Please, if you can give me any help, a step by step walk through or
whatever, I would greatly appreciate.

Best regards,

Yannis where on the Internet, no one can hear me scream.

FYI

In attempting the port forwaring, triggering and Upnp forwarding, I also set
up a static IP. I am also using PPPoE through my ADSL to connect to the net.
Just thought I would mention it to give you a complete picture.

Currently, I am trying to simply enable UPnP with no other port forwaring,
triggering or otherwise. I will let you know how it fuctions. Until then,
please, if you have any insight, let me know.

Regards,
