Sometimes antivirus applications have difficulty with
certain combinations of hardware and software and can
cause crashes; also, generic quality memory, etc., etc.
I used to use Norton for several years.
For immediate protection, try a freeware antivirus
product (I tested and have used the purchased full
versions). Go to www.grisoft.com. They will email you
an install code to use. Good luck.
