I have my BIOS set up to boot off the CD so I put my XP CD
in the drive to access it when i start up cuz i wanna
FDISK but the CD is not booted off of.

So I figure that XP boot disks is the only answer.

How do I make the boot disks?
When I put my XP CD in there is no option about making
them.

Ben,

The legitimate WinXP CDs are bootable. If you bought your OS from "an
unknown source" you might have a copy or poor counterfeit.

When the system starts up, even with CD chosen for initial boot, you may get
a message to "hit any key" to boot from CD, if you don't hit a key, it won't
boot from the CD. Check this out if you know you have a legit copy of the
OS.

right click your floppy disc drive in windows
explorer>format>tick, create ms-dos start up disc . this
will get you started but you need the other 6 discs which
you can down load from the microsoft site.good luck.
