msn messenger

Currently im running on XP HE. I wanted to send files and
receive files through Messenger but i cant seems to send
or receive. the error messsage is check with the internet
provider. i did... not resolve...
the other parties is running on Win 98 and XP Pro.

File Sharing via MSN Messenger is not available in win98. A user must be
running winxp.

For the professional version, honestly can't tell.

Using MSN messenger for 98 allows file sharing if I remember correctly. The
problem most likely is in the firewall of the XP machine. Does this problem
go both ways? IE as when you both send?
