win xp provides some additional helps for you - and
w/all the current worm activity - consider below - and
you might try this first - tho what you mention is a
'repair install' - which retains your apps and files
which will list a help link for you after this - tho
you should 'always make a backup first' - ie

run your 'anti.virus pgm'
