View Full Version : InviteApp API interface?

I need some help regarding the IMessenger::InviteApp method...

1) It works on "Windows Messenger", not only MSN, right?

2) I also need to confirm what the method actually does. As far as I
have understood the documentation it a way of letting the messenger
set up a connection between an arbitrary app and its couterpart on the
other side? The communictaion between the apps are then done with
directplay?

3) I need some documentation or hints on how to make the two apps
communicate. Does the messenger provide some interface that the app
can use?

4) Where in the messenger is the application communication started?
The documentation talks about an "invite menu". but I dont´t have any
menu labeled "invite".

Desperatly trying to solve this, please help.

I am not sure if you received an answer to this. To make the two apps work you can use the RTC API's. I have been playing with the Invite Apps and was informed by trusted sources that the only way for the two apps to communicate is to use the RTC API's or
some other proprietary API.

Hope this helps
