Hello,
Can anyone point me to a reference for more information regarding HALs?
I'm curious as to exactly how many different HALs there may currently
be. (I realize that may be a ludicrous question.) Are there different
ones for each Intel chipset? I know there are different ones for ACPI
and APM, but I was curious as to exactly how systems must differ in
order for them to require a different HAL.
I'm trying to gain a little more insight into methods of deploying WinXP
(and 2000) on systems with different hardware.
