I have been able until last week to transmit images from
my laptop through a projector...(I use it for
church)...but cannot now...I notice when starting the
computer that a pop-up tells me it cannot find compnent
C:/WINDOWS/image.dll...I may have lost it through a virus
or worm...or when a self-professed "expert" was trying to
clean up my viruses...
....CAN I RECOVER THIS COMPONENT?

Image.dll is not a Windows file and not used to project images. It is most
commonly known as a file installed by adware:

Since there is one bit of adware/spyware on the system there may be more.
These little extras that work their way onto the system can cause all kinds
of problems. Check the system thoroughly. Clean if necessary. Then reassess
any remaining problems.
