Phantom Hard Drive appeared after new install.

After installing a new hard drive, I reinstalled my
windows xp home edition.
Now when I goto "My Computer" I have a drive "D" that is
zero (0) bytes, I can't delete it, format it, etc.
I only have 1 hard drive on my system.
Nothing shows up in System Properties.
Any Ideas ???

Open Disk Management console (diskmgmt.msc) and delete the defunct
partition.
