I recently fixed an HP Pavilion 6475z for a friend. It
had a virus, so I had to kill that and reinstall a bunch
of stuff, including Windows 98SE. Afterwards, I was able
to use the Rockwell HCF 56K Speakerphone PCI modem
successfully numerous times. She then bought the XP
upgrade. I installed it successfully, but never checked
out the modem until tonight. It cannot be found. I
install it, but it will not communicate. I am assuming
there is a new driver for this modem for XP? If not, is
the only solution to uninstall XP? buy a new modem? Thanx

Hello

Few options
1. Buy a new modem
2. go to their website
3. try these. www.driverguide.com
4. try these www.devicedrivers.com
5. do a search on google for that modem

You will probably have to go to the manufactures site to get drivers for the
modem.
The problem is that there may or may not be drivers. If there are no drivers
you will have to buy a new modem that is supported by the manufacture.
