I just had to reload XP. When it came back up many of the
configurations are different. I am the only user on a
home computer. I never had to log onto windows before now
I have to log on every time and it is annoying. I just
want to boot the system and go. I cannot figure out how
to turn of the "log on" setting. I need help.

Click Start, select Run and enter the following:

control userpasswords2

On the User tab remove the check from the box that reads "Users must
enter a user name and password to use this computer." When you click
Apply you will be prompted for the user and password that should be
used to automatically log on to Windows.
